Our mer­chan­di­se manage­ment system for press dis­tri­bu­ti­on has been one of the leading ERP systems in the industry for more than 40 years, enabling us to play a signi­fi­cant part in shaping the digi­ta­lizati­on of our business processes and inter­faces at a very early stage.

 

Process opti­mizati­on through IT expertise

Software deve­lo­p­ment is one of the tra­di­tio­nal com­pon­ents of the 7Days Group service portfolio. The software range has been con­ti­nuous­ly expanded and qualified through the targeted expansion of IT com­pe­ten­ci­es. This implies the deve­lo­p­ment of digital appli­ca­ti­ons such as ana­ly­ti­cal tools, B2C appli­ca­ti­ons and interface and portal solutions – not only for the print-media industry, but also for logi­sti­cal areas.

Our IT expertise puts us in a position to optimize processes when necessary. As a customer-oriented and owner-managed company, we have the necessary proximity to the market and to our partners to recognize needs at an early stage, and to implement them in sus­tainable solutions in direct coor­di­na­ti­on with the deve­lo­p­ment team. In pursuit of this aim we were able to develop a promising platform for the digi­ta­lizati­on of press dis­tri­bu­ti­on – espe­ci­al­ly with read-it, our B2C kiosk system. IT is a decisive success factor in com­pe­ti­ti­on with other providers in logistics business areas.

 

 

Retail trade app

Our Market Partner Portal app for print-media retailing (her­ein­af­ter referred to as MPP) was launched in 2012.

In the MPP, as with all market-oriented app deve­lo­p­ments, our customers interact syn­chro­no­us­ly with our ope­ra­tio­nal ERP system: tran­sac­tions entered by customers must lead to immediate binding responses on the fly. This state-of-the-art feature should be a must in our industry.

But the MPP is only one of several apps that we include in our software. Others include, for example, the iPIA for our wholesale field service, various mobile tools for logistics such as an app for tracking our delivery routes, and espe­ci­al­ly our read-it app, which we have also adapted for the B2B sector.

 

 

 

Online kiosk for the B2C segment

The read-it digital kiosk platform, which transfers the Spotify usage principle to print products, was launched on the market in 2013. It enables anyone to read news­pa­pers and magazines with regular adver­ti­sing free of charge, or to buy a premium sub­scrip­ti­on for an ad-free experience.

Aimed in par­ti­cu­lar at the young and digitally savvy, read-it is to be under­s­tood as com­ple­men­ting existing and estab­lished print products in the retail trade.
